Nimbus Hosting, which has headquarters in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, was established in 2011. The company offers “fast, reliable and secure UK based web hosting”, specialising in areas like Magento hosting, SSLs, and WordPress hosting. Its new ‘STORM’ panel is designed to be “simple and easy to use” with functions that make “the management of web hosting faster”, including ultra-fast installation of solutions like Drupal and Magento.While traditionally control panels are located on a user’s server, STORM differs in that it is “centrally managed on a bank of high performance HP Enterprise servers”. This offers users a significantly faster web hosting experience. The panel has been “built from the ground up” and provides a “range of innovative functions that are set to revolutionise the way agencies and developers manage their web hosting”. The panel has been an immediate hit with the company’s agency customers.
“While many traditional control panels and web hosting management tools do the job and meet the user’s needs well, after undertaking market research, we found that some agencies and developers struggled with the complexity of the user interface and the time it took to complete basic tasks,” Nimbus Hosting’s Managing Director, Tim Dunton. “Therefore, we decided to create an alternative solution to solve their issues”.
