Award-winning managed hosting, cloud and colocation specialists UKFast are new the “shirt sponsors” of the Sale Sharks Rugby Union club. UKFast, which has headquarters in Manchester, in the North West of England, bills itself as “helping businesses grow online through speed and innovation” and prides itself on “awesome customer service” which is at the heart of everything the company does. The exact financial aspects of the deal were not announced beyond a ‘seven-figure deal’. UKFast generated £34.3 million in 2015 and it hopes the new sponsorship deal will help it meet its £40 million revenue target for 2016.Sale Sharks Rugby Club is based in Salford, Lancashire, also in the North West of England. The Premiership team was established in 1861 making it one of the United Kingdom’s oldest rugby clubs. UKFast were formerly the club’s sponsor, sponsoring its activities between 2000 and 2010. Its sponsorship ended after a number of the clubs senior players moved to other clubs.
"UKFast and Lawrence Jones made a huge impression on the business in the mid-2000s when Sale were at their most successful,” explained Steve Diamond, Sale Sharks Director of Rugby. “We can now make this one of the biggest rugby franchises in the country. Partnering with UKFast gives us the ability to get out there digitally."
